Kaitlyn (ʻĀnela) Evans found her muse through her journey in hula hālau starting at eight years old. Through hula, Kaitlyn was inspired by Hawaiʻi's environment, and it was further solidified through her first conservation-based internship. There, Aloha in Bloom (rebranded as Aloha ʻĀnela) was born. Continuing her passion through her studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, Kaitlyn received a B.S. in Environmental Science, and a double-minor in Hawaiian Studies and Anthropology. What started as a small hobby of painting and selling stickers of her watercolored flora blossomed into a love letter for her island home. Whimsical in nature, Kaitlyn likens her artwork to blissful daydreams that will lift your spirit. Her goal is to create relationships between the customer and Hawaiʻi's environment, using her artwork and other creations as a conduit. Outside of her art, Kaitlyn's hobbies include health and fitness, spending time outdoors, and mālama ʻāina. These things also carry into her lifestyle; promoting low-waste alternatives, gardening, ʻai pono, and more. She is also a big foodie and loves to cook, bake, and try new foods and eateries.
